Baja California Sur Mexico, on Highway 1 between San Ignacio and Santa Rosalia at Microondas Cayguama microwave tower. Elevation 1958' easy to get to just watch the cactus. Beautiful view.
Edit: 2/28/25 This cache wasn't meant to last for 22 years and it didn't as you can see from the history. Note to self, use metal containers, not plastic. Still worth a stop. You'll need to park at the gate that has been added and walk up. You may find remains of it in the cactus. Enjoy the view!
Watch for the Microondas Caguama sign on the South side of Hwy 1. There is a good road up to the microwave tower passable by our high clearance desert ready Nissan Tsuru [Sentra] rental car. [Edit: There is a gate that is kept closed now but it is walkable.] I placed it while wearing sandals and shorts but I don't recommend you try that one. WATCH OUT FOR CHOLLA CACTUS! It is all over there. You can walk to it but not in a straight line. The cache is in a clear plastic container with blue rim. It contains Senor Mysterioso Travel Bug, a Del's Building Supply pencil, Full Sail Ale bottle opener, black sharpie, yellow hi-lighter, binder clip, and genuine Laurelwood Brewing Co coaster.
The view of the mountains and desert is fantastic. I hope you enjoy it! I will post photos.
