Basalt macht Spaß ! (Fabian´s Cache) Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Was kostete im Jahre 1900 1 Pfund Roggenbrot ?

´After Cache´-Service:
Nicht ganz in der Nähe (ca. 10 km), aber ein schönes Ausflugslokal an einem kleinen See gelegen findet sich bei N 50º 23.500’ – E 07º 9.858’ (abbiegen bei N 50º 21.954’ – E 7º 12.970’).

Your hunt is located in an fascinating region, where you will find old basalt-mining industry. Even in countries far away, there mill-stones were well-known.

The complete tour requires about 2-3 hours (without stops) and it would be best if you don´t suffer from vertigo. Take care of your children: Deep cliffs ! Baby carriages leave at home. Wear trekking-boots and long trousers.

We start at a parking lot at N 50º 20.831’ – E 07º 13.375’.

Here you will find lots of interesting facts about mining on “platestones”. How many are there ? The sum of the digits is A. (Alternative, you will find that number near wheels)

We also ask for the number of rhombus in the coat of arms of Ettringer Lay. Substract 4 and you have B.

Now enter that big hole to solve two other tasks.

When was Sobczak active ? The result will be CDEF.

How many letters has the name of town between “Stirb langsam” and “Ladykiller” ?
Name it G. (Hint: Look SW, stay at the bottom of the valley).

With H=G-F and I=D-B-A head to N 50º 2H.GEB’ – E 07º 1B.IHI’.

What is the price of one half kilogramme of Roggenbrot in year 1900 ? The answer is JK.

And now with L=E-B to N 50º 2H.EKI’ – E 07º 1B.KLA’ to your final question.

M is the number of syllables of a related (in sense of vulcanos) country less 4.

Go along the ridge to the cache: N 50º 2J.MHK’ – E 07º 1B.GDD’.

´After Cache´-Service:
It´s not very close (10 km), but a nice little restaurant located at a little lake. The coors are: N 50º 23.500’ – E 07º 9.858’ (turn left at N 50º 21.954’ – E 7º 12.970’).
