Geocache Description:

There are two directions you could take to get to this cache only one will work. Come in from the upper road.

Wungong Dam. The first day I ever worked was during the making of this dam. I had to assist an incompetent mechanic to repair a machine. First day of work and my first 24 hour straight shift. Many years later I look back to how it was then. We had our workshop in the area that is now water. So much has changed its hard to see it how it was. The cache is easy if you take the correct road as there are two choices. There is a path leading to a lookout that will take you to within 20 meters of the cache. That means you don’t have to bash your way though bush very much. The bush land in this area is relatively open although there is a lot of tree cover so your GPS may be a bit inaccurate. Look for a tree with a fallen log near it. The cache is under the edge of it. Check the photo for a visual clue. The contents are mainly from many caches we have visited the last couple of weeks plus a few things we have added. The bonus is Electric Personal fan (it really works well too) for the first person and a first finders certificate. There is also the usual picnic facilities nearby with gas BBQ’s and a nice view for free. Why not get the BBQ revved up and then send a few people out to find the cache. Then sit down for a couple of refreshing bevies. Have fun finding it. Lyn Pat and Nathan
