This is an easy trek along the quiet shores of the Howard Eaton Reservoir approximately 16.4 miles east of Erie, Pa. Walk along the road for approx. .75 miles, along the lake shore. The cache is located between two fallen trees along the northern shorline of the reservoir. Follow the main trail until your gps begins to point towards the left. You will come across some small foot paths / horse trails. Follow them. You are able to stay on a trail to within about 30 ft of the cache. Please replace as you found it and hide well to prevent muggling. The cache is in a plastic ammo box.
Take I90 to the Wesleyville exit.
Proceed East on Rt. 430 for 9.5 miles.
Turn Left on Ashton Road.
Drive along Ashton Road, passing the reservoir on the right.
Park in the parking area on the northern shore of the lake, and you will see a maintenance road blocked by a gate.
This is a really nice walk along a really quiet and serene lake, with lots of wildlife. Take your camera and your bug spray!!
