Geocache Description:

The Creeper Cache is located along the beautiful Virginia Creeper and Appalachian Trails in Southwestern Virginia. Finding the cache requires an easy walk or bicycle ride from any of several access points.

The Creeper Cache is stashed behind a car-sized rock adjacent to the Virginia Creeper Trail. The Appalachian Trail follows the same path at this point. The cache is 5 x 8 size lock n' lock container and is covered by some small rocks. The cache is quite full, so bring something small for exchange.
The , Virginia Creeper Trail, is a 34-mile former railroad grade turned into a fabulous biking/walking path. The 17-mile section from Whitetop Station to Damascus, VA (which passes this cache) is great for families and people of all ages, since it is a slight 2.2% grade downhill. This section also follows gorgeous mountain streams stocked with trout. Mountain bike rentals and shuttles to Whitetop Station are readily available at reasonable prices in Damascus.
