Geocache Description:

You can check your answers for this puzzle on GeoChecker.com.

The coordinates given above are not accurate. But they do put you in the general vicinity of the first stage of the cache. You must decipher the code below to come up with the correct coordinates. (Suggested parking coordinates are N 36 09.248 W 80 05.978). This is a two-stage multi. There is a bit of elevation change in seeking out this cache. There is less than 300' from the first stage to the second. Still, allowing for the standard geocaching circuit (bushwhacking and going around in circles), you will probably walk about 3/4 mile roundtrip.

Kernersville Lake Park is closed every Wednesday.

This is a nice place to visit! There are picnic tables with grills, restrooms, boats for rent, sand volleyball court, horseshoe pits, and small playground. You may also fish from bank or boat.

Please read and decode the following narrative, then answer questions on the worksheet below to get accurate coordinates to the first stage.

Now you're ready to find the first stage of the cache! Please note that there are two "no tresspassing" signs, but they do NOT refer to the nature trail or the woods around the lake - they refer only to the storage area for mulch, gravel, etc. I couldn't get readings better than 24', so you may need to use the hints to help zero in on the right spots. Please take care to re-hide each stage for the next seeker. Please don't reveal any secrets in your logs, even if encrypted.

The cache container is an ammunition tube, about 20" long and 4" across. Be sure to get the top screwed down straight and tight. Along with the logbook and pen, there are Ladle Rat Rotten Hut buttons and other goodies in the cache plus a custom Ladle Rat Rotten Hut t-shirt (size XL) for the first finder if s/he would like to take it.

Thank you for hunting our latest!
