Geocache Description:

The cache is rated 3 1/3 only because of the distance. This is not for the faint hearted, pushchairs or dogs that do not like to swim or cachers that will not let wet dogs in their car.

WARNING for anyone with small children that have never been on a towpath. The water is deep, the sides in places are high from the water, nothing to keep little and big kids (like us) from falling in and path can be slippy in places. But it would not be any fun without a bit of mud, now would it!

If that has not scarred you off there are lots of ways to get to the cache, none of them short-ish. If you park at N 51 53.720 W001 17.241 and walk toward N 51 53.562 W001 17.440. You will have to cross over the lock on the gate and then your stroll begins. Upper Heyford is also a starting point for hardy walkers and bikers

A OS map will give you the best plan of attack to get to this cache. If you have a long boat you would not have to walk at all!

As far as clues, the path is about 2 meters wide including the hedge, its not in the water, on the path, or the other side of the fence.
