Geocache Description:

Miriah named this cache after a plant that is found flourishing on this small hill. Sticky monkey flower is a very drought tolerant plant that produces abundant flowers throughout the entire summer. The Mimulus genus is a very large group that includes 77 species in California. The common name, "monkey-flower", comes from early botanists who thought the flowers resembled a monkey's face. I personally have yet to find one that resembles the face of a monkey but Miriah always points this type of plant out along with many others when we go GeoCaching.

This cache is a micro cache and can only be reached from within Montrose Park. The park is enclosed by a fence so you must get to the cache from within the park, do not try to get to it from any other direction please. I personally recommend parking at the higher level of the park, near the jungle gym equipment. Pay attention to your surroundings and take your time looking for this micro cache. Once you find the micro cache, please take care not to over tighten the lid.
