Westbound Traditional Cache

NevaP: It appears that this rest area will remain as it currently is, posted Truck Parking,No cars, for the foreseeable future thus limiting access to the cache. Several people have looked for the cache recently and it seems to be missing. So I guess it's time to archive it. I hate to do this. It's my first regular cache and if the area was fully open I would keep it going.

It had a good run. 361 finds in 6 years. Carried off by squirrels or mice or muggles and replaced several times.

Geocache Description:

A mini cache located in an area reached from I-80. An easy find while you stretch your legs a bit.

The container is a plastic tube, five inches long and about three-fourths of an inch in diameter. It's nicely concealed but shouldn't be too hard to find. This is a heavily used area so be discreet. There are convenient places nearby where you can examine the cache. Please replace it as you found it.

The contents are a rolled paper for a log ( in a plastic bag) and a small pencil. If you want to leave anything it must be very tiny. Just plan to sign the log.

Suspected areas around the cache location may become quite icky in wet weather but if the cache is where it's suppose to be you should be able to retrieve it without mucking around in stuff.

NOTE: Summer 2009: There is major construction activity just east of the cache location but I don't think it will disturb the cache site. They seem to be adding a large truck parking space to this rest area.
