McCall's Sandhill Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Rattlingcrew: I hate to see this one go, unfortunately some not so considerate people have been tearing up the hill with their four wheel drives. The owner has spent a lot of time trying to slow erosion and the inconsiderate ones keep cutting ruts. We have permission to be there, but there are now no trespassing signs. Glen

Geocache Description:

Road is good from North, West, East, not recommended to enter from the South in wet weather. Ok to enter driveway at the top of the rise to park.

Container is an ammo box with green and black paint. Area is a minature desert, watch for catus, yucca, and fine sand. Original contents were four Hot Wheels; two Chapsticks; Lifesavers; Ice Age Tattoos; pen; pencil; and logbook, Geo Sheet included. Please be respectful of animal gravesites.

On Father's Day, June 15, 2003, the original container was replaced with the ammo can. Unfortunately the cache had been soaked and the logbook was very wet. I copied the old entries back into the new book. It still is not the same though ;-) After the log dries, I may drop it back into the new box. The cache was left very full as I dumped the contents of the original cache into the new cache box, it was already loaded and ready to go out with waterballs, Hotwheels, action toys, etc...
