Table Mountain is a beautiful geologic formation. Many eons ago, a lava flow across the area left a trail from just east of Sonora to Knights Ferry. Erosion has exposed the flow and carved it into pieces. Come and see a beautiful part of the Mother Lode!
The Maxson Clan (Dad, Mom and 2 Daughters) made the hike today. Great hike. Watch for the poison oak all around the trail going up.
The trail is of moderate difficulty. My 3 year-old hiked it with handholding.

The cache is a 1 quart tupperware. Contents at placement are: dollar, finger snapper, padlock, bead and Elmo bug.
This hike is great in winter and spectacular in spring!!! The wildflowers are abundant in late March and early April. Summer would be real hot, but would be a great sunrise or star hike.
