Cigam With A Bird In The Hand Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

cigam_mai: 18:00 - [:(] Well, it lasted about a year longer than I thought it would. Still... I kind of mourn it's passing [xx(]. It was a fun little construction, and a cache that always brought a smile to cachers who spoke of it [^].

When I got out to the location this evening, it was obvious that this cache (at least at this location) was history! The birdhouse had been pulled apart, and several other aspects of the construction had been tampered with. Sadly, I had to cut the whole thing down. Since I did not have Agent 007 with me [;)], I left 4 pulleys high in the branches of the trees. If you want them, if you are a tree climber of Monkey Class, and as long as assume full responsibility for your inevitable fall from the tree [B)]... feel free to claim right of salvage.

It's been fun reading all of your log entries. If you all had just half as much fun with this cache as I have, then it has certainly been well worth the effort [:D].

Good hunting,

Cigam_mai

Geocache Description:

This is what happens when all of my passions collide. Solve the puzzle to uncover a unique cache.

IMPORTANT! Special tools are required to secure this cache, but if you pay close attention, you should have no trouble determining exactly what special tools you will need.

REALLY IMPORTANT!!! No part of this cache EVER needs to be forced! If you are straining at all to get this cache, you are doing something WRONG. If you follow the clues, and use your little gray cells, the cache should literally fall in your lap.

Clue #1: Peter Pan’s nemesis owned one of these, though NOT 10 feet long.

Clue #2: Climbers use this to snap in your eye, and then feed you some line.

Clue #3: Pull, lock, unlock, unlock, open, open, examine, decide, take, leave, log, close, close, lock, lock, unlock, SLOWLY release.

Now I realize that we all haven’t scaled the Himalayas, nor are many of us up on all of the literary classics. With that in mind, I have included simplified "Clues For Dummies" in the Additional Hints section, below. I would suggest that you decrypt them only if you are REALLY stumped, and then only if you can endure the scorn and derision of your Geocaching peers.

Many thanks to Agent 007 (dressed to kill in his tailored tuxedo) with trusty sidekick Agent 3 1/2, for helping old Cigam release this cache into the wild. Don’t forget to pick up a copy of their peanut butter chocolate chip cookies in this cache. They’re made with a secret (agent) home recipe that has no fat, sugar, or cholesterol… and actually contains some oat bran to help you lower your cholesterol, too! He’s stocked the cache with 12 copies of the recipe. One to a customer, please! And… when they’re gone, they’re gone!

The cache container is a 3-inch diameter jar, 5 inches deep. It originally contained the following swag:

Logbook
Edi Travel Bug
Special Cigam badge
Yellow Mini Clamp
Disturbing Clown Face
Antique Monkey
Old Clothespin (in mint condition)
Popgun Cork
Wheeler Car
9-in-1 Antique Golf Tool
Agent 007’s Smackdown Cookie Recipe (while they last)

For the fun of the game, PLEASE take the time to re-hide this cache EXACTLY as you found it!
