Just off GWT at junction with ridge trail. Mile 5.60 of the old course for the Wasatch Front 100 mile Endurance Run each September; first Friday after Labor Day. 6,258 ft.
Start at Fernwood and follow the GWT , or from Layton Ridge subdivision. Turn West at Valley View (mile marker 342 off Hwy 89 then turn left up Layton Ridge Dr). Park at WP 01. TH at WP 02 then hike to start of ridge trail at WP 03 by the Hobbs Canyon sign . Note: The WF-100 mile Endurance Run changed the start in 2019 so I don't get to check on every year when I mark the first part of the race. The race now goes up Bair Canyon.
