Geocache Description:

This is a multipart cache that employs an offset from a landmark to find the clue (which contains the coordinates to the final cache). Of course, it is in a park that us dogs love to run around in.

This cache is found in Black Hills Regional Park (see picture titled "trail map")in Germantown, MD. To get there Take the Hwy 27 east exit off of I-270. When you reach 355 (Frederick Rd) go north and turn left on West Old Baltimore Rd (there is a sign for the park). Go in the main entrance to the park on the left side and follow the signs to the boat ramp parking lot. The coordinates given are for the trailhead that starts in this parking lot. (Decimal degrees for this site are: 39.200694 and -77.294872)
The trail initially follows a utility access so it is a wide pathway with orange AT&T stakes. Continue on this until you find the sign that reads "Cabin Branch trail to Black Hills Regional Park" (see picture titled "Landmark"). This is where you need to get a good GPS fix standing right next to the sign.

To these Coordinates do the following:
Lat: subtract 0.23028 (or 0.003838 for decimal degrees)
Long: add (make the negative number larger) 0.14184 (or 0.002364 in decimal degrees).

This gives you the coordinates to the clue cache which is a brightly colored dog toy that is in the V of a tree less than 75 feet off the trail next to a stream. On this toy is written the coordinates to the final cache site.

Anyway the cache is now an ammo box that is stuck in a tree. We hoped to give this cache a little twist (and make it a loop walk) but not making it too hard. It is on trails except for the final move to the caches.
