Geocache Description:

Itchen Bridges

Theme of cache – Coins of the World

This is a cache that involves the four main bridges of the River Itchen.
It is possible to cycle or walk this route , but I would advise taking the car but to find the cache involves a nice walk by a park with lots of activities for the children and adults.

There are ample parking around all the bridges you have to visit and are quite safe , you don’t not have to cross any main roads , you can read the plaques without crossing the roads.

You can combine the “Golden Lions” & “Walk the Walls I & II” before and “Itchen to find it” afterwards.

Bridge 1
Suggest you park underneath the bridge at the following co-ordinates.
N 50 53.916
W 001 23.455
There are plenty of places to park around the bridge that are free. Go up the steps to find a plaque. You will get a nice view of the new stadium.

The bridge was opened on the 13 July ABCD
