Geocache Description:

New Coordinates

High in the mountain above Kaysville my old friend Meticulous Mike left a cache. I loved this hike so much when Mike gave up caching I gladly adopted it. The hike to the cache is a little over 2 miles with a 2700 foot climb. It’s not an easy hike but I think it’s worth it. Park in the parking lot at Kaysville East Mountain Wilderness Park or some times if the gate is open you can park just outside the rifle range. There is a trail from the road near the rifle range gate at N41 02.710 W111 54.074.When you get to the Shore line trail go north to N41.02.707 W111.54.002. Head up this trail. Be sure to stop at my cache.Nice Place for a Cache (GCG489) At about a mile and a half you will come to a Beautiful meadow. You can pick up the trail again at N41.2.693 W111.52.848. When you get to N41.02.775 W111.52.420 Look for small shiny chunks of Aluminum. This is the sight of a plane crash back in the late 70’s. Have a nice hike and look for more caches soon in this area.

See you on the Trail
