Geocache Description:

An unexpected little pleasure above Palmdale & the Antelope Valley

Look, Ma! No drool!
Teddy the Behemoth Puppy Enjoys the AV Poppies
If you come up to find this cache in the spring, you can also tour the magnificent poppy fields here in the Antelope Valley. Come in March or April for the best show!
I've been passing this spot for years, thinking I should stop. Tonight I finally did and unexpectedly found quite a little treat--a map from 1968 showing distances between the cache site and places all over the Valley, some of which no longer exist!

Do yourself a favor and go check this one out on a bright, clear afternoon, when the clouds are floating high up and the sky is that piercingly wonderful blue that only a desert sky can achieve. And after you do, come back here and email me to let me know the answers to these 2 questions:

1. What was Lamont Odett's nickname?
2. How far is it from here to "Hi Vista"?

And I will be happy to leave your log here on the page.

PLEASE drive carefully and pull off carefully, as the traffic whizzes by this place quite rapidly.
