Geocache Description:

GAMLA VARBERG
This is an old signal post from where a big fire warned to the next signal post that warriors had been observed being en route. The swedish word for such a signal post was "Wardh Berg" = The mountain with the warning fire. These words together, later gave the name to the little town nearby "Varberg".
The view over the Kattegat and north and south along the coast is magnificent.
You have a good view all over Varberg and the surroundings. Worth wisiting any day in any weather.
