Geocache Description:

This is the very first cache to be hidden in Wayland! You can drive in from the North or walk in from the South. This is not a difficult cache to find. A 4-Wheel Drive may be required during the wet season! It doubles as a Bug Hotel...a stone's throw from US-131!

FRIENDS OF THE INTERURBAN TRAIL HAVE BEEN MEETING TO SECURE THIS OLD ELECTRIC LINE AS A VIABLE TRAIL THROUGH WAYLAND TOWNSHIP...EVENTUALLY CONNECTING TO THE M-6 AND KENT TRAILS TO THE NORTH AND THE KAL-HAVEN TRAIL TO THE SOUTH. IT IS THE MISSING LINK NEEDED TO CONNECT THE EXISTING TRAIL NETWORK IN WEST MICHIGAN!!! FIND US ON FACEBOOK!

The Wildcat Bug Hotel has been resurected! The new one is a medium-sized ammo box. To ensure that there are always TB's in the cache, please consider leaving one for every one you take out. We will continue to search the area and reload this cache with BUGS! Cross your fingers that Consumer's Power is done brushhoggin'. The cache is hidden between two pieces of Private Property. Hopefully, soon, this two-track will be converted into a Rail-Trail between Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids.
