Geocache Description:

This is another in the series of Highway 14 caches aimed at kids. The contents should be for and about kids. Easy access from Highway 14. Should require only one minute to find.

We are being asked constantly by young people, what they can do to show support for the worldwide coalition in the current struggle to liberate the Iraqi people from the totalitarian dictator, Saddam Hussein. This cache is for those kids who want to vote with their GPS units and record permanently their enthusiastic backing of our professional military…those men and women who don’t shirk at the sacrifices necessary to defend freedom and to rid the world of murderous tyrants.

Because of the extremely high speeds on this road, please be extremely careful when turning off or onto Highway 14. Turn-off is at N 35 30.040, W 117 56.929. Make sure you are out of traffic lanes, both dirt and paved. For being in the middle of nowhere, there is still a lot of traffic. As always when in the desert, bring plenty of water, regardless of season. It can get VERY hot during the day, and VERY cold at night.

UPDATE. 24 April 2004. New coordinates. The cache has been replaced and moved slightly east to make it less likely that non-geocachers will happen upon it. There is a convenient left hand turnout, on the dirt road, about 250 feet from the cache.
