Geocache Description:

This cache was part of the 2015 Spokane Geocache Tour "Spokane History". Participants of Geocache Tour filled in a completion passport for a commemorative Geocoin. Visit SpokaneGeoTour.com for information on the past and present Geocache Tour and get started today.

This cache is the oldest surviving cache in the area. This cache has been through many hands, and now resides in the care of Lookout Lisa. The following description is the original text as it developed over the years. Please enjoy this bit of geocaching history!

7 July 2001 Look for a rock containing a film canister

21 March 2002 I checked the cache while I was looking for the Tower Mountain cache. The logbook is only halfway filled, you can use the back pages. Amusing photo of a Geocacher (not me) inside.

2 Oct 2004 So many complaints! Wasn't Geocaching about getting out and doing something outdoors with friends or family at one time? Please use some common sense, read the entries, and don't try to get this with a broken ankle.

***Update from Leonata 5/7/2005*** I visited for some cache maintenance. The container is now an orange matchsafe with some camo tape to make it a little less obvious. There is a large scroll of paper inside that should last for some time. After adopting this cache in April, I upped the terrain rating a bit and added a hint. Please post if any maintenance issues arise.

24 August 2014 -Update by Lookout Lisa Hiked up and replaced the cache container today. It is now a green matchsafe. Have fun everyone!
