Geocache Description:

There are a couple of approaches but the best for this cache, that I know of, where there is parking available, would be the Appalachian Trail on the top of Stormville Mtn. off of Rt 52. There are some great views and some surprises along the way, but the trail itself is nice, mostly level and easy going. The hike itself is less than a mile in.

The cache is hidden in a 50 cal ammo can and is stocked full of all kinds of new goodies for the young at heart. There are also a couple of "Where's George" bills that we would appreciate you logging in and carrying them along their journey. There is some pretty dense cover through parts of the trail but our readings were coming through loud and clear near the cache area. Please be careful to hide it well again afterwards, this area does seem to be frequented by other than hikers and the possibility of vandalism is a threat. We forgot our garbage bags today but will return for trash out on our next maintenance visit.

11/22/03 UPDATE- There was a period of time from June to August where someone had padlocked this ammo can to the fence. This was not where this cache should have been. It has since been rectified and replaced in it's original hiding place.
