A trading-friendly tin, hidden along a popular trail.
Desert Trail is a family-friendly geocache located within the Phoenix Mountain Preserve. We recommend that you park off of Tatum & Tomahawk, which is the designated parking lot for these trails. The cache is located just off the main trail, along a smaller side trail that leads you past a few sharp cholla challenges. As always in the desert, caution is advised. From the cache site itself, you can see bikers and hikers on the main trail, which means they can also see you. Please be discreet once you locate the cache. The container is an old lunchbox, wedged snuggly into its hiding spot, so be sure to hide it well when you've finished. Have a great time and enjoy the views and wildlife!
