Geocache Description:

The first Kerry Cache to be located in Europe, Kerry Cache #3, is located at the top of the Saleve near Geneva.

Kerry Cache #3 is located at the top of the Saleve, near the restaurant and tower at the top of the mountain (actually, 360m as the crow flies). You can make this as strenuous or as easy as you want. If you hike the Saleve, it'll take you 1.5 to 2.0 hours from the valley, but you can drive to within a couple hundred metres of the cache as well. Or, take the Telepherique from Pas de l'Echelle (across the border from Veyrier), and it's about a 20 minute walk.

This is an international cache, full of things from around the world. Lots of stuff for kids. The cache is located under a pile of rocks at the base of a fallen tree. It's not far from a path, but a little bushwackin' is necessary.

On May 23, 2004, we cleaned up the cache and contents, and installed a new log book.
