Geocache Description:


Deer Island’s first cache! Get yourself onto the island and drive down to Deer Island Point, the southernmost point of the island. The cache is located inside the Deer Island Point campground. From here you will get an excellent view of Campobello Island, Eastport Me. as well as the ‘Old Sow’ whirlpool. The original contents of the cache are: Golf bag pin, Fish scale, C-clamp, Toy lobster, Weeble-wobble, Gardening gloves, Calculator, Town of Quispamsis pin and Geocoin 0090. According to the campsites web page (see link above) there is a camping fee but there does not seem to be any day use fee. You can also use the web page to access plenty of Deer Island information. Enjoy!
