Hunsicker's Grove is a passive park located
about one mile west of Alburtis, PA. The park hours vary according
to each month, but it basically closes before sunset. The picture
below displays the park hours by the month. It is a fairly new
Berks County park that has a pond you can fish in (must have a
license), a picnic grove, hiking trail, volleyball court, and a
deck with lights, picnic tables, and fireplace overlooking the pond
with two friendly geese that are guarding this area. Within this
park you may hear sounds of spring peeper frogs calling for their
mates or see a red fox or a pileated woodpecker. Pets are NOT
allowed in this park.
The above coordinates are for the parking
lot. To get to the start of this multicache, use these coordinates
- N40º 30.049 W075º 37.988. You only have one question to answer,
with three possible choices. Whatever you choose, you will either
take a direct route or a scenic stroll to get to the final cache.
It should not take any longer than 45 minutes to find this cache
and return to your car. The final cache is a larger size container
and all the others are small clear plastic with blue
lids.
Please be aware that when we placed the
caches our GPS accuracy constantly changed from between 12 to 20
feet even while standing over the caches. We could not get solid
coordinates of any of the locations. If anyone gets a good solid
lock on any of the caches, please let us know. Leaf cover will make
this cache even more of a challenge, so just look for the obvious
low hiding places. Meanwhile, hunt for the cache and enjoy the
scenery of the area and take time to listen to whatever you
hear....
