Witch's Broom Tree Traditional Cache

While Geocaching.com would like to continue to hold the location for you, doing so blocks other cachers from placing caches in the area. We feel that this cache has been disabled for a period of time exceeding what is reasonable for the area, and thus I regretfully must archive it.

If you are able to get out and replace the cache, simply drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. I will be more than happy to take a look at it to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

Geocache Description:

Just South of US 41, 3/4 mile west of the stop light at Lakeshore Avenue. There is a turnout across from the park and ride. You can pull in off the highway there. Lots of brush but not near the main highway. Keep a leash on the kids and pets!

Named because of a rather unusual phenomenon where the road salt blows on the trees and bushes and causes the surface of the branches to crack. The plant protects this wound by growing a new branch at this point. Happens repeatedly and makes a broom effect! ****** One gallon camouflaged plastic jar with screw-on lid. Start contents are..... Several balloons, Blimpies Bear, Irish Bear, Disney figure? from 101 dalmations, Another disney figure, Blue xtal butterfly, Blue xtal bee, Beaded dragonfly key fob and a one dollar gift certificate from McDonalds.
