Ghostcache is located on the Toronto Islands, day or night, it’s a great walk and a beautiful spot.
Welcome to my cache, Ghostcache. It is located on the Toronto Islands and is easily accessible by foot, bike, rollerblades or any other mode of transportation (except by car, there are no vehicles allowed on the island except city service ones). Go to the Toronto Island Ferry docks and take any ferry you’d like, there are three, Wards Island ferry dock is about 3 kilometers from Ghostcache, Centre Island ferry is about 1 ½ kilometers and Hanlan’s point ferry is about 2 kilometers (for ferry schedules and fees please call 416-392-8193). When you get off the ferry simply follow the paved road/trail, it stretches from one end of the island to the other and is a very nice walk. Just keep looking at your GPS and look up when you are close and you’ll see the Gibralter Point Lighthouse (you can’t miss it!), it’s just off the trail. Follow the trail leading into the lighthouse and read the historical plaque on it, it dates back almost 200 years and is supposedly haunted by the restless spirit of one of the original keepers who was murdered over the moonshine he was running from the lighthouse. To this day people claim to see him roaming the grounds around the lighthouse in search of his missing limbs that were cut of by his murderers (for more info on the story, visit www.torontoghosts.org/lighth.htm). Ghostcache is aptly named for the location, and if you are brave, try it at night, that is when the ghost is said to be seen looking for his missing limbs! It is a clear plastic Tupperware container and contains the following,

1 ceramic “three ghosts on a ship”
1 ceramic “Spooky” ghost travel bug
1 farm animal set (pig, sheep, dog)
1 toy horse with trees
1 pen and pencil set
1 ball
1 set of batteries
1 mini-mug
6 glow-in-the-dark plastic turtles
