The Snoqualmie River is perhaps the most famous of all the rivers in the Seattle area. From it’s headwaters at the crest of the Cascades near the pass of the same name, through the farmlands of eastern King County, to its merge with the Snohomish west of Monroe, the Snoqualmie ties the mountains to the sea. The Tolt River, while smaller and less known than the Snoqualmie, is still very important to the greater Seattle area. The Tolt watershed supplies Seattle residents with thirty percent of their fresh water.
This easy to find cache is located near the confluence of these two rivers. The cache is located in Tolt MacDonald Park and can be accessed easily from a nearby road. Take the time to visit the nearby gravel bar and enjoy the sound of the waters.
12/6/03 Went by today and found the cache had washed out from it's spot. Inside was still dry. Moved it to higher ground and posted the new coords.
