This cache is sited in Oxleys Coppice in South West Fareham. Our beloved dog Amber adored this place, sadly she passed away 13th Aug 2007, gone but never forgotten [:-(].

The paths in the coppice are generally even and it is possible to take pushchairs on the hunt during the spring and summer. During winter however the paths become very muddy.
Conservation work in the Coppice is being carried out by the 15th Fareham Scout Group with a grant from the scout environmental fund. (Well it was supposed to be when the cache was placed. Now it is rumoured that "they" are going to build on it - a CRIMINAL ACT). We have seen a variety of wildlife around this area including deer & woodpeckers. Lots of birds were singing away merrily when the cache was placed in late April. The cache container is a small blue topped clear plastic box approximately 3.75" x 3.75" x 1.5". It contains a (small!) laminated Geocaching explanation sheet, a (small!) log book & pencil. There is very little room in the cache box so only small swap items will fit. The real challenge on this one is to find it as you are likely to lose lock a fair amount due to the tree cover. We used 2 GPSr's to obtain the cache co-ordinates, one of which we left 'averaging' for around 10 minutes so we are confident they're reasonably accurate. Please note: There is no need to scramble through the undergrowth, the cache is a close to a footpath. Suitable parking co-ords - somewhere around N50 50.791 W1 13.234.
