Geocache Description:

Hello and Welcome to:

The Colvin Mill Run Geocache.

Ok the parking for this has changed. There are now no Parking signs at the park entrance off of RT 7. You can park on a close side street, or at the Mill itself and cross RT 7 carefully!! Some side street parking might make you back track so chose carefully.

This hike is about .4 miles in length, this is a nice little park that allows Bikes, Horses, Dogs etc, its not very well kept but it has several streams running through it. You might need to cross them or it depending on how you try to access the cache area. Please don't cut through the Residential areas to the West South-West. If you need to cross there are several place that will afford and easy crossing without getting your feet overly wet ( I crossed 6 to 8 times checking things out and the water was never deeper than my mid rise boot top ).

The Cache container is extremely well camo'ed I am not going to say what the container is but its a tad bigger than an ammo can and a bit smaller than a 55 gallon drum. When you find it please be careful and make sure you put the lid back on nice and tight.

The Container contains :

Rain Poncho
3 or 4 Bottles of Bubbles
4 Mini Lego's Sets New ( Sorry about the boxes they got a little wet when I wrecked my Jeep )
2 Lego Technics Opened but complete
Sewing Kit
2 Hot Wheels
1 pk Shrinky Dinks
Silly Putty
GeoCaching Compass / Key Ring
Beanie Baby Beagle
Beanie Baby Lamb
Nerf Football Small
GeoCaching First Aid Kit
Cache Camera
Kaleidoscope

This cache should be doable for kids with a little help from parents. This will not work well with strollers but if your have those big tired deals and dont mind doing a little lifting you should be able to do this cache.

Wear longs pants, have on some repelent and maybe something with some permethrin for the ticks, it's looking to be a bad year in general for the little buggers.

Happy Hiking ! Dont forget to snap a picture with the cache camera !
