Get away from the multitudes crowded along the rim and take a hike below. This is a hike down Bright Angel Trail, the most accessible trail in the center of Grand Canyon Village.
This is about the most moderate hike below-the-rim you can make, but it still requires some stamina. From the trailhead, you will hike along a well groomed trail (watch out for the mule poop!) that is fairly steep and consists of 1.75 miles of switchbacks (one way), taking you almost exactly 1000 feet below the rim. The coordinates are for the first resthouse, where there is a restroom and place to picnic.
By the time you go a half mile or so, you've left the riffraff behind and will generally meet more serious hikers, including some with full packs returning from the river, 8 miles farther than you will be going, and 4000 feet deeper! Refreshing.

An interesting note, as we approached the resthouse, I was down to three visible satellites, then two, one, none! Wow. This is the first time I've ever been outside and had absolutely no view of any of the GPS satellites!
Oh, yeah, the 'Don't Follow the Raven' is a play on 'as the crow flies', since from the rim you will find that the cache is less than a quarter of a mile away - as the raven flies, that is!
