Geocache Description:

The cache is located in an area that no matter how many times we go back the view still stops us in our tracks.

Park your car at the car park near the water tower. Coordinates are approximately S 25 54.638 E 153 05.773. Follow the walking track until you come back out into the open and then your GPS from there. The cache is of the plumbing variety and is a 100mm diameter tube about 330mm long. It is mainly concealed but not buried. It contains a collection of swap items along with the log book. Please approach the cache from the ocean/high side not from below off the graded walking track to minimize disturbance.

An alternative walk is to start from the car park at the QPWS Information centre located on the main road as you first come into town. Just stay on the track to the sand blow. 3.8 km round trip according to the brochures.

There may not be a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but there is a cache nearby.
