Geocache Description:


This is a traditional cache located in Truman State Park near Warsaw. This is the replacement for my 'Harry's Hangout' cache that was destroyed in a large fire in this park at the end of 2002. It is located in a different part of the park so even if you found the old cache, you can come back for the new one.

The gates to the area where the cache is located are locked at times but we were told by a DNR officer that it was OK to park on the road and hike in to the trailhead.

You need to hike the Bluff Ridge Trail to reach the cache location. There are 2 trailheads, either of which will take you there. The cache is an ammo box and is about 50 yards off the trail. The cache site can also be accesed by boat. (terrain rating is **** if you are coming by boat!)

Also be sure to visit N38 17.171 W93 26.457 while you are out there. It has a great view of the lake.
