This cache is placed on a part of the old 40,000 acre M. M. Sherman Ranch. This cache is in a sandstone rock out-crop that over-looks a spring branch.
This cache is in a public hunt area so be aware of the various hunting seasons. Avenue T is the road that goes to this cache but it does not show up on my Mapsource program, but it does run west from K-141 about a mile south of the Kanopolis lake dam. I would suggest parking in the public hunt parking area at the bottom of the big hill across the road from the old red tiled silo. You will cross the gate, go past the red tiled silo and cross the spring branch to climb to this cache. This is one of my old hidey holes from my wanderings of days past. I love to snoop out these little gemstones of nature. Sit above the cache on the rock out-crop and enjoy the view to the west-northwest of the old silo and of yonder windmill on the far hill to the west. I ask myself, "Is this Kansas?" This is another spot for rest and relaxing. I hope you enjoy it too. Please watch for loose rocks on your climb up the slope and remember to tread lightly to preserve nature at its finest.
