Geocache Description:

This "Family Fun" cache was originally hidden on 26/April/2003 by phasevariant.  Nick & Nora2 were allowed to adopt it on 21/Feb/2013 transfering the cache to Jentor95 on 12 June 2018.

As far as we can tell this is the oldest cache in the Kingwood area.  It was originally placed on the south side of the utility right-of-way where apartments, or whatever that building is going to be, are now being built.  The area was nicely forested when the cache was first hidden but, time moves on, and development moves in.   A couple of years ago, when the trees were being cleared, the cache was buried under debris and later found by a very persistent cacher.  He placed the damaged container on the north side of the utility right-of-way where it now resides.

After we adopted the cache, we were going to replace it.  Then we decided to continue using the original container.  Its survival has given it character, it remains watertight even now, and its condition shows evidence of its tough life.

This cache is now almost fourteen years old and we hope it lives on for years to come.
