Geocache Description:

The cache is located along U.S. 180, it is inside the highway right of way. Very easy.

This is the first of several "traveler" caches we have planned. Stop along this long stretch of U.S. 180 and take in the view. The cache is located a few miles from the South entrance to the Petrified Forest.

From the cache, looking to the S.E. on the horizon one can see the White Mountains sprawling East and West. To the N.W. on a clear day the San Francisco Peaks can be seen near Flagstaff. There is an almost endless view all around you here.

The cache is a ammo can. Watch your step keeping an eye out for snakes. This is rattle snake country.
