Geocache Description:

Find Mat Cauthon's Cache in the Illahee Ogier Grove (Community Forest). This is a single-point traditional cache. You can get pretty close to it in a car using Thompson Lane NE.

Blood and ashes! Unless I miss my guess, a good chunk of Geocachers know that Mat Cauthon is a character in the Wheel of Time books by Robert Jordan.

Mat Cauthon left a cache of goodies in the Illahee Ogier Grove, which was grown by the Ogeir when they built the Bremerton Naval shipyard.

In this cache, you may find things that Mat needs to get by: -Dice and card decks for winning money from commoners and Lords alike.
-Balls for juggling to entertain in common rooms and earning supper and room at an inn.
-A stones (checkers) board for passing the time with Thom.
-Shadar Logath dagger for safe keeping until it can be brought to the Aes Sedai to be untangled from Mat's soul. (Don't worry, it's pretend time).
-Possibly, the Horn of Valere itself!

The cache itself is a black ammo box with yellow lettering with a message in the Old Tounge that says "The grave is no bar to my call."

Sign the log and take your picture (activate the flash) so Mat knows who has his goods.

Be careful of darkfriends, Trollocs, and Fades in the Grove, you never know what may be lurking in the shadow! Go with the light, friend! (Really. When I went to check coordinates again I ran into one of Bremerton's many sobriety and roof challenged people and was glad I had my lab with me. Bring along a friend or a dog if you can.)

Don't worry if you can't stay in the theme when you exchange goods. I will do theme maintenance from time-to-time. Gold Marks from the realms of Tar Valon, Andor, Tear, Illian, or any other realm is also welcome.

And don't feel bad if you have to use the hint, GPS readings can be tenuious at best under that thick canopy.
