Two parking options:
1; West Fenwick Park, parking lot is located: N 47° 22.216 W 122° 16.997 From here you can take
a leisurely stroll on the path (about .24 miles to cache) terrain rating for this route: 1.5, or you can take a direct route, up a very
steep hill (about 740’ to cache) terrain rating for this route: 2.5
2; Park on the side of the street at N 47° 22.311 W 122° 17.046 and walk (about 500’) on a more mildly upward sloping path, with a short, slightly steep part near the cache, terrain rating for this route: 1.5
Facilities at the park include:
Barbecue, basketball, drinking fountain, multi-use playfield, parking, picnic area, play equipment, 3 handball courts, public art, 2 tennis courts, trails: walk/jog, restrooms. Pets are allowed on leash. There is a Skateboard park across the street. Park is closed between dusk and dawn.
BRING A CAMERA, If the weather is clear, you can get a nice picture of Mt. Rainier, if it isn’t clear, you can get a nice picture of clouds (Either way please post your pictures here in the log).
The cache is a .30 cal. ammo can (just under ½ the size of a standard .50 cal. ammo can). It is kind of full (originally) but has some room for medium sized stuff. There is a very small trail, between the main trail and the cache. Please use it, instead of bushwhacking.
