Welcome to Riverview Retreat In St. Joseph, Michigan, United States [View Map]
About the cache: Riverview Retreat was originally placed by TheRemusFamily on May 4th, 2003. As of May 6th, 2009, the cache has been adopted by F3L1X. Cache was adopted by RomanTwins on 2/25/2015.
The cache is a rather typical cache container located in the wooded area on the northeast quarter of the park. Minimal bushwacking required if you follow the main path through this corner of the park. There are two directions to come at it, one long, one short.
The area around the cache does have the potential to be rather wet -- and after a hard rain, you may find yourself wading through some rather deep puddles once off the main path.
About the park: Riverview Park's 107 acres feature an enclosed lodge, two shelters, three ball fields, picnic areas and grills. A boat launch opens the opportunities of Michigan's Great Southwest's waterways for additional fishing and sporting. The launch is located adjacent to the park. Enjoy a summer picnic with your whole family, or maybe even consider hosting your family reunion or work party here.
