Geocache Description:

This cache is located on the hillside between upper and lower Dravosburg. The hill is walkable most areas, with a number of dirt roads and trails. But it is steep in places, so a bad route will up the ratings.

This is a themed cache. If possible trade out something yellow or something that has yellow on it. Note there are other color themed caches in the area (eventually every color of the rainbow will be represented).

The terrain rating is clear. The rating on difficulty applies to the search once you get to the immediate area. The vegetation hides the cache well. Kids should find they have an advantage on this cache.

There are a number of access points, but the small park (Bettis Road to Ridgeview to Riverview) in Dravosburg (access road at N 40 21.352 by W 079 53.426) is clearly public access and it is from this park I rate the cache. There are trails and roads to within 20' of the cache site, and then it‘s flat grass and weeds (at this point don‘t go over the hill - no need). You are looking for an ABS pipe that's capped on one end and has a screw top on the other end. It's 4" ID pipe, so consider this if you are planning to leave anything.

This clearing is one of the best views in the area of the joint Mon & Yough River Valleys.

Near the cache is a simple wrench in case the top is too tight to get off by hand. Please grease the threads when you seal up the cache (a jar of petroleum jelly is in the cache) and screw the plug in only HAND tight.

A bunch of paths, trails, and dirt roads cross the hill side and zigzag around. If you head for another Rainbow cache, you shouldn’t need to hop off beaten paths until you get very close to the cache - but be warned that these paths are not crow flights to the other caches. Also be warned that the non-path areas of the hill can be nasty pockets of wet lands, blackberry brambles, jaggers, and patches of poison ivy.

Hints are given in two levels: #1 a general hint and #2 a specific hint.
