Steep but short fire break trail, gets heart rate up, worth the climb for the view.
Good view on a clear day from top of knob (~100' NE of cache location) you can see the Mt Wilson and Mt Disappointment antenna towers, overlooks the West Fork of San Gabriel River, the Valley Forge Canyon area to SE. Bring a camera.
On hot day bring drinks, a nice view spot on top of the knob. Remember to carry out trash, please
You are in the forest, so always check with a pole or stick before reaching under any bushes or rocks. During warm months rattlesnakes enjoy these hills and these ridges
