Geocache Description:

Kane Woods Trail starts on Scrubgrass Rd. at the parking coordinates and trailhead listed below.

Cache itself is a clear, 2 quart container. Nice walk in a nature area but wear hiking boots because of a wet spot at cache. The Scott Conservancy is working hard to develop and improve this trail and other trails in Scott Township. They have purchased a great deal of the old Kane Hospital property, and hope to develop that area into a trail system that will connect this trail to Scott Park. Original items included: Scott Police kids badges, pencils, lights and other police items. There was also some jewelry items, police items including the buttons from the Chief's coat. If he wants them back he will need a GPS unit.

May 19, 2007 Update:

The container was replaced today and trade items were added. Please use both sides of the logbook.

.. Please be sure that this cache is hidden exactly as found. It should be completely out of sight from the kids who play in these woods. This cache has survived for over four years, so please do your part to ensure that it remains unharmed!
