Geocache Description:

Please note that what follows this paragraph is the original write-up. Here is a description to make finding the cache easier - follow the side trail to the lake. On your right (north) side as you approach the lake, on the edge of that trail you will see a Douglas Fir tree that has a bend about 10-12 feet up. Leave the trail before that. Looking north you will see two Douglas fir trees about 15' off trail downhill side, and just beyond the east one, you will be able to see the very short stump less than 30' from the side trail.

The original cache description from Shredder101 and His Two Boys:

"Chehalis Western Trail or as my kids call it "The Ghost Railroad" as it is a rails to trails prodject that now runs through Thurston County. I tell my two young sons if they listen quietly late at night they can hear the Ghost Locomotive running through the forest.

"Cache is now back on-line! Some neighborhood kids took up the sport of Geo-caching and thought the idea was to take the ammo box home with all contents :-( Well it has been recovered and re-filled with all kinds of new trinkets. For the first new finder I have placed a kewk GEO COIN IN THE CACHE. WHO WILL IT BE? Be sure to log your entry as I live close and love to here of visits.

"Cache is a surplus ammo box (unfortunately missing, so now a peanut butter jar) and contains trinkets for all ages. Cache is located near my home so I can check on it regularly. Please be sure to hide it better than you found it as this is a high traffic area. Cache is hidden just off the trail and you will not have to "Bushwack" to get to it. Please use caution and not to damage the underbrush in the area, nature takes much time to replace itself after the masses of geocachers come walking around. Parking is available just off Normandy drive near the bridge over Yelm highway. Bring the kids and the bikes or skates this is a paved trail and fun for the whole family."
