The Cache is a large green tupperware container, the terrain is easy going although at some times during the year there may be cows and bulls in one of the fields that you will walk through. The original treasure in this Cache was donated by Daisy and Primrose two of the Flowers, aged Six and Eight, We think this is a good one for the kids with supervision near the deep water.
You can park your car at the off road area located either side of the steel gate N53 20 852 W000 09 528.Walk down the lane towards the church, from the church you will need to cross over a stile and then over a small foot bridge ( TF23131 84800) head south along the Bain river from here.
Biscathorpe is the smallest parish within the Asterby group of parishes, and comes under the Deanery of Horncastle.
The original church to stand on this site fell into a state of decay by the end of the eighteenth century. it was then rebuilt on a faculty applied for by its rector, Joseph Robinson and warden, John Parkinson. The lead roof was replaced by slate and only one of the three bells reused. This church was concerated in 1847, but had a relatively short life. According to notes in the churches of Raithby and Haugham, it was completley rebuilt in 1853 by the architects Willoughby of Louth and Nicholson of Lincoln. As with several churches in Victorian times it was built in a mediaval gothic style and was once described as an "enchanting little church, even more fanciful than its previous sisters".
