Hi-Tek: Checked this one out today and can confirm it has been stolen. Sad as it had been in place for just over 7 years. I no longer cache as much as I did and will not be replacing it thus freeing up the area for someone else. Thanks to everyone who looked for this one.

Geocache Description:

The cache is located in the Alver Valley, Gosport, Hampshire. The pathways are mostly gravel and are pushchair friendly. Recommended parking is at N50 47.725 W001 10.065 although there are other possible places.

Dividing Rowner from Lee-on-the-Solent the River Alver meanders through the middle of Gosport. It is the only significant piece of land in the area and is in the care of Gosport Borough Council. The Alver Valley is protected from development and contains wetlands, meadow and woodland habitats, much of which is designated for its ecological importance. There are a variety of wild plants to be seen here. The first phase in turning the area into a country park is underway and the footpaths are relatively pushchair friendly. Note this is a wetland area that can become muddy during the wet season.

We respectfully request that no foodstuffs or combustible items be placed in the cache.

It is recommended that gloves and long sleeves be worn when retrieving the cache as there is an abundance of the Geocachers enemy 'nettles' in the area.

When replacing the cache please ensure that it can't be seen by anyone sliding down the adjacent bank (all will become clear when you find it).
