Located on the North side of the Oroville Dam.
Although parking is not permitted on the Oroville Dam itself, there is parking at the south end. The Dam is a popular place for the local residents to exercise. At any given time, you may encounter people walking, running, riding bikes, roller skating, and walking their dogs. The walk across the dam to the memorial is just over a mile walk, the parking lot by the memorial was just recently closed, hopefully just temporarily.
Several of the men who constructed the Dam are still current Oroville residents. A Memorial was placed by these men in rememberance of those who lost their lives during construction.
To log this cache, please email us with the answers to the following questions:
#1. How many names are listed on the memorial to honor the men who died in the construction of the Oroville Dam?
#2. What name is listed sixth down on left column of names?
#3. What symbol is on the memorial to honor the men who died?
You also have to visit this cache site. Several cachers have tried to log this cache as a find with out visiting the site. Their logs have been deleted.
