The Brigadier: It appears that this cache is unavailable, missing, and in need of maintenance.

As the owner, it is your responsibility to check on your cache and make sure it is in place. You have three options if it is missing. You can 1) enable the cache, which lets people know that it is still in place, 2) fix the problem, then enable the cache, or 3) archive the listing.

If there has been no change or a reviewer note explaining what is going on in about 14 days, I will archive this for you.

I look forward to hearing from you. To respond, please do NOT send me an e-mail. I have your cache on my watchlist, and I will receive a notification when you post your log.

Thanks,

Geocache Description:

Located near the Buckeye Station historical marker on U.S. 52 along the Ohio River.

I am a member of a K-9 Search & Rescue team (Buckeye Search & Rescue Dogs). It has become a great passion in my life (unlike geocaching which is considered an addiction. lol) I am placing a series of caches to commemorate the various breeds of search dogs we use. This cache is in honor of the original “search engine”, the bloodhound. Dixie (my bloodhound) has placed in the cache a leash, a plush dog, and other dog related items. I have placed my usual plastic firemen. Dixie has asked that you keep with a dog-related theme. BUT PLEASE NO TREATS OR FOOD ITEMS. The local raccoons may try to "rescue" these items from the cache. Bring your dog and don’t forget to sign the logbook. Feel free to post your dog's pictures at the cache page. *** On 12/7/03 I added a letterbox to this cache. Now you get 2 for the price of 1. Bring ink pad. For those of you that don't letterbox please take care not to remove the letterbox, stamp or any of its contents. These are not trade items. Thanks.*** *** On December 23, 2007 my search and rescue bloodhound Dixie was killed in a house fire. She will be sadly missed by me. Dixie's breed was the inspiration of my geocaching name. My you rest in peace Dixie.
