Do not worry if the access gate is closed. This is to keep motor vehicles out. Park by the fence. The area can be accessed by an opening in the fence to the left by the trees which are next to the fence. There was a gate there but it was removed. The public is permitted to access the park area on foot only to enjoy the pond and picnic grounds. The park closes at sunset.
The cache is a slender green military ammo box with yellow military writing on it. The ammo can once held M-60 / 7.62 ammo. Now it contains GEO-GOODIES. Leaves may conceal it a little depending on the wind and Fall season
