Smith River Falls Stash Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

smartone: Another Geocacher informed me that a recent forest fire was in the area. He is quoted as saying "The access road is closed indefinitely and quite dangerous due to falling trees" I have no choice at this time but to archive this cache. Thank-you to all who visited the area, it was hidden gem along the road.

Geocache Description:

A stop off the beaten path, scenic Smith River Falls.
A group of friends and I travel to northeastern British Columbia, Canada to visit Liard Hot Springs once and a while. Unfortunately there does not seem to be any Geocaches in the northeastern region, so I thought I would hide one. This cache is 28km north of the Liard Hot Springs on the Alaska Highway, hidden at Smith River Falls.

The cache is a Blue Rubbermaid water jug with “www.geocaching.com." labeled on the side in red. The original contents are: 2 Fridge Magnets, Pair of water Wings, Glow-Stick necklace, Tape Measure, Compass, 4 horse shoe magnets, Stuffed moose key-chain, aprox 12-25cent gum ball machine capsules, 1 rubber ball, 1 hack-e sac. That’s about all I can remember at the moment.
There is also a logbook, pencils and pencil sharpener. Please remember anything in this cache must be able to handle –40C during the winter months.
